Looking to the future – together.
For us, the best Ammerland quality und responsibility for the welfare of people, animals and the environment go hand in hand. We’re convinced that we can only achieve lasting success if we pursue ecological and social goals as well as economic ones. These three elements are the foundation for the future of our cooperative.
Focus on milk production.
A key goal of our work is to promote environmentally friendly milk production geared toward animal welfare. To that end, we maintain close and deepening relationships with our milk suppliers. A big advantage in this respect is that our cooperative has developed a broad understanding of these issues over decades.
Joining forces.
We have made sustainability our watchword at all levels to ensure we operate responsibly. We also maintain an intensive and continuous dialogue with important stakeholders. We see communication and cooperation as central elements in developing and implementing joint solutions to the challenges of a sustainable economy.
Making sustainability real.
In order to make our commitment to sustainability transparent for customers and suppliers, we have been a member of the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (Sedex) since 2012. Members have access to the relevant information.
The Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (Sedex) is a non-profit organization that provides its members with a database to exchange information on labor rights, occupational health and safety, the environment and business ethics. As part of Sedex, SMETA audits (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) take place at regular intervals at our Wiefelstede-Dringenburg plant. The last audit took place at the end of 2022. After 2015 and 2019, we once again demonstrated that we respect ethical and social principles, take environmental protection into account in our business activities and assume full responsibility for fair and safe production and working conditions.
